The C series investment round was led by Index Ventures, one of the major players in the investment ecosystem. Other participants of the investment round include Kleiner Perkins, Andreessen Horowitz, Sequoia Capital, Adobe Ventures, HubSpot Ventures and famous actor Jared Leto.
With the new investment, the total investment Captions has received to date has exceeded the 100 million dollar threshold. According to Captions, the company will use the new investment to grow its machine learning team as well as invest more in internal research and technical infrastructure.
