The startup’s area of activity

Founded in 2022 by Greg Mark, CEO of the startup, and David Benhaim, CTO, Backflip aims to complete the 3D design of physical objects in minutes, which takes days with its new basic models. Backflip’s founders stand out with their experience in 3D printing. The duo founded 3D printing company Markforged in 2013.

According to the information shared by the startup, Backflip’s models were trained on a large dataset of about 10 million 3D parts. It took two years to create this dataset, which was partly created thanks to artificial intelligence. Backflip’s artificial intelligence is not limited to text. Users can also create designs based on sketches or photographs.
